Karen Cashman, a frequently published interior designer based in Northern New Jersey, has worked extensively in the New York/New Jersey Metropolitan Area as well as around the country. Her designs are based on her philosophy that the creative design, aesthetics and the organization of any space has a profound influence on the people that occupy that space. Karen believes that every room should be both welcoming, and aesthetically pleasing. She feels that any space must be a reflection of her client’s criteria, persona and interests. She sees her role, as an experienced designer, as one that ensures that each client’s wishes are expressed within the realm of excellent design and expanded vision, and that they are executed as expeditiously and meticulously as possible.

Always interested in color and artistic expression, Karen has studied and traveled extensively throughout her life, significantly expanding her understanding of world cultures, design influences and the applied and fine arts.

As an ASID Allied Member, and owner of her own successful interior design firm, Perspectives/Karen Cashman LLC, Karen is highly qualified and experienced in all phases of design and planning, from the furniture plan to the finishing touches. She is a recognized colorist and custom furniture designer. Her familiarity with all phases of the design process assures coordination with the finest artisans, vendors and tradespersons and assures successful results for her clients.
